Jonathan Curry
Jonathan Curry is a senior reporter for Tax Notes Today International, where he covers U.S. international tax news. He began his reporting career with Tax Analysts in 2016 covering the presidential race that led to the first Trump administration, the passage and enactment of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and the early years of the Biden administration, before pivoting to covering the IRS and its administration of the tax system. Along the way, he also covered the estate and gift tax, wrote the weekly Business of Tax column highlighting trends in the tax profession, and wrote the occasional tax humor column, Off the Beaten Tax.
Other work experiences include a recent stint at the IRS headquarters in 2024, a year as an associate for Stateside Associates tracking tax developments in state legislatures, and internships in both congressional and state-level offices.
